This hands-on series is intended for agencies / companies who would like to start or enhance their employees’ overseas working careers in cooking and baking. The program enables the students to acquire the necessary basic skills, tools and techniques that will give OFWs the edge in international kitchens.

This short but intensive program includes the basic food preparations and cooking methods for vegetable, pork, beef, poultry and seafood; French sauces and their variations as well as common terms used in international kitchens; baking methods and techniques for pies, cookies, cakes and breads. All classes are hands-on with lecture and discussions.


This 12-day, 18-session course will be limited to 25 students. Enrollment includes all the ingredients, uniform, manual and chef’s kit. Classes will be on a thrice a week schedule from 9:00 – 4:00 p.m. The program also requires the student to have an internship for 150 hours.


OFW Cooking & Baking Program


Day 1 - Knife Usage / Vegetable Cuts / Salad Dressings / Egg-Based Sauces / Egg Cookery

Day 2 - Stocks / Sauces / Variety Meats

Day 3 - Meat Cookery (Beef, Pork and Lamb)

Day 4 - Poultry Cookery (Chicken and Duck)

Day 5 - Seafood Cookery

Day 6 - Halal Cookery

Day 7 - Baking Introduction / Fruit Cuts / Crepes / Meringues

Day 8 - Soufflés / Custards / Pate A Choux/ Dessert Sauce / Fillings

Day 9 - Pastry Dough

Day 10 - Cookies and Cakes

Day 11 - Breads (Quick and Yeast)

Day 12 - Applications using Modern Equipment


FEE: P 40,000.00 per person, minimum of 12 participants


Fee includes 1 set of uniform, a chef’s kit, manuals and all the ingredients to be used throughout the program. Schedule of classes will be depending on the employer and the chef instructor (once, twice, thrice a week or a special arrangement).


Requirements for enrollment:

1.Comprehensive Resume with 2 pieces 2x2 photo

2.Filled-out CACS Application Form

3.Photocopy of High School or College Diploma and Birth Certificate

4.Interview with CACS Faculty

Classes are scheduled once or 2x a week depending on availability
