Junior Chef Workshop (10days)
Expose your child early and ensure his & her success in the culinary world. Learn Camaraderie, Responsibility and Best of All, Creativity and Confidence in the Kitchen! Start young.
A specific yet intensive culinary and pastry skills program specially made for kids ages 9-16! Lessons cover basic kitchen skills and preparation of vegetables, meats, poultry and seafood; starch dishes such as pasta, potatoes and rice dishes. This workshop also covers the basic skills of the different methods of mixing in baking.
Be exposed to the wonderful world of culinary and pastry arts with this fun, but intensive hands-on program!
This series is intended for tweens who wish to experience the life in the kitchen and to acquire the necessary basic skills, tools and techniques to enable them to enhance their hobbies and interests in professional cooking and baking.
The Junior Chefs Cooking Workshop will culminate with a recital presentation prepared by the students. One free seat is given per student for their desired guest.
This course is handled by Chef China Cojuangco-Gonzalez and Chef Aki Gonzalez and will be guided by student-assistants from the PRO course.

DAY 4: Pork and Chicken Dishes
DAY 5: Seafood and Sushi
DAY 6: Pastry 1
DAY 7: Pastry 2
DAY 8: Pastry 3
DAY 9: Recital Preparations (may be 2 days depending on number of guests)
DAY 10: Culminating Activity – Lunch Presentation

Chef Aki Gonzalez is a graduate of the Professional Program at CACS and has been a pre-school teacher for the past 10 years. Chef China Cojuangco was also a pre-school teacher prior to graduating from the Professional Program at CACS. She is currently a practicing chef and both of them handle the Kids’ Summer Cooking & Baking Programs here at CACS for the past 5 years.
